Fresh Young LGBT Talent Wanted

Under 25? Want to help keep Pride London relevant, exciting and fun? Pride London needs under 25's year olds to take part in managing our activities for our youth@pride programme.  With a range of opportunities for you to get involved with from:

event management; publicity and PR; campaigning and advocacy; website design; performers, artists, & designers
......or anything else you have a skill or passion about!

youth@pride aims to bring together all of London's under 25yo LGBT Community to celebrate our diversity and clearly make our mark as the next generation of it.

We aim to put together a range of fun filled positive activities for our community to engage in a hope to build a stronger more diverse community for the future.  youth@pride was established to ensure that all LGBT under 25 focussed projects people have equal access to planning for Pride and the Pride events themselves. No individual group leads the process and all events hosted by groups are advertised under the youth@pride banner.

youth@pride is a community led event and we welcome as much help and assistance from as you can give.

The youth@pride committee is made up of individuals, representatives, and general volunteers from all over the city and of young people who are not linked to an individual project too.   An estimated 4200,000 people celebrated Pride last year and we anticipate that this number will continue to increase year on year.

In the 35 years since Pride in London began the LGBT community has truly 'come out'. In Pride in London's life time we have seen the introduction of Civil Partnerships for same sex couples, the end of other homophobic laws including Section 28, and the protection of LGB People in accessing Goods and Services - Pride is about celebrating all we have achieved, remembering the adversity we have over come and continuing the fight for fair and equal treatment for all our communities.

getting involved

youth@pride is open to all LGBT people under 25, and welcomes anyone willing to get involved and make youth@pride bigger and better. There are plenty of volunteering opportunities covering the two weeks of Pride London, including organising events, helping out on the day, and running around soho in fancy dress.
