black, Asian and minority ethnic caucus

The group brings together all those who identify as black, Asian or minority ethnic, and its aim is to bring the focus of these communities into pride. The group formally was inaugurated in November 2007 under the watchful eye of board member Patrick Williams who is the current Black LGBT rep on the TUC LGBT committee and has worked to secure many LGBT asylum seekers a place of refuge in this country.

The group has been instrumental in planning the events for the first ever BAME Stage area that will be in Romilly Street and also the four floats for the group to be represented on the parade. The caucus has also looked at securing events for the Pride Festival Fortnight, that are set to make a name this year.

It has been extremely active as they meet regularly and are keen supporters of Pride.
