WorldPride 2012 to be Biggest Pride Event Ever.We are excited and honoured to be organising and hosting WorldPride2012 here in London in 2012 on behalf of the global LGBT community. We are therefore delighted to confirm that we have presented plans to the agencies who licence major events in the city to host the biggest Pride Event ever here in London on 7th July 2012. We don’t want to give too much away right now and we will be announcing more details over the next few weeks but we are thrilled to confirm that...
If you want the latest updates why not follow us on Facebook or Twitter? If we have already wetted your appetite, why not book your accommodation in London now, as demand for rooms will be huge. You can use the Pride London accommodation booker to search for your ideal abode. You can also find out more about LGBT London here. Pride London is already the biggest Lesbian and Gay Pride event in the UK and next year’s event will provide the global LGBT community a chance to come together to celebrate the progress that has been made in achieving equality, but also to give those who can’t march safely in their own country a secure environment in which to do so. The event will be used to draw attention to the fact that within the Commonwealth alone there are still 41 countries where homosexuality is illegal with punishments ranging from imprisonment to the death penalty. Over the next 12 months Pride London will be raising awareness and campaigning for the decriminalisation of homosexuality around the world. To coincide with the first details of the event being announced we have launched a competition to give the LGBT community around the world the chance to choose the theme for what will be a landmark event. Find out more about the competition here. Applications to enter floats and walking groups will open online shortly with any organisation, charity, company or group welcome to submit an application to take part in what promises to be a spectacular-spectacular. WorldPride 2012 will be made possible thanks to the event’s Headline Sponsors Smirnoff. However there are still opportunities for organisations to work with us and we recently launched its guide setting out opportunities for other companies and organisations to sponsor the event to ensure that it remains free for those attending.
