main stage - trafalgar square

main stageFollowing the Parade, there will once again be a fabulous afternoon of entertainment, speakers, community and music on the Main Stage in Trafalgar Square.

We are delighted that Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London will be addressing the crowds this year.  As well as that a host of speakers from all the main political parties and groups will be mixed with the best of today's entertainment.

Celebrating a quarter century of performing at the prestigious Pride event, the Pink Singers mark the occasion with a special set to capture the crowds.

Sir Ian Mckellan will also be wowing the audience as he steps up to present part of the show kicking off at 3pm.

Festivalgoers will be entertained by music from chart-topping singer-songwriter Sandi Thom (If I Was A Punk Rocker) and Culture Beat (the hit makers of Mr Vain & Inside Out) make a nineties revival exclusively for Pride London.

Sharing the stage will be dance vocalist Shena who will be performing her classic hits Guilty and Dare Me Stupidisco with samplings of her new album. Plus Amrick Channa (Freedom) will be helping to kick-off a storming dance set in one of the capital’s most recognised landmarks.

In addition Sade, Geek Girl and Never The Bride will play a set being introduced by Dick and Dolly (Gaydar Radio), Dr Christian Jessen (Embarrassing Illnesses), Jamie Crick (Classic FM), Lucio (Capital Radio), and Stuart Miles (former Blue Peter legend).

The full programme of artists, entertainers, musicians, presenters, politicians and community influencers will be announced in the coming weeks.
